Remove Yourself From Twicsy

Hi!  You must have read my rant post, eh?  Without further ado, REMOVE YOURSELF FROM TWICSY!!

  • It will slide/drop down.  On the right, there will be a list of four options, 'Remove me!' being the last option.  Yes, it's camouflaged.  Crazy!  I missed it the first time!
  • Click 'Remove me!"

  • Type your Twitter handle in the field.  WAIT, don't click submit yet.  Read the below note.
    • "If your Twitter account is still active please log in with Twitter and then delete your data from Twicsy. (This will NOT affect your Twitter account!)
    • You will not need to click on the blue link in that note.
  • Click on the "Submit" button 'To remove your Twitter data from Twicsy...blah blah blah..."

  • DON'T freak out.  You need not email anyone.  Still with me?
  • Top right corner, click on 'Sign In"

  • Click on 'Login with Twitter'

  • Enter your Twitter handle and password
  • Click on 'Authorize app'

  • You will be logged into Twicsy and asked "Are you sure you want to remove all your data from Twicsy?"
  • Click the link "Yes, remove @YourTwitterHandle!"

  • Notification will show that "You have been deleted!"
  • Note: I did not sign out of Twicsy  I stayed logged in, but 'X'd out of the window and did other things on my computer

  • Wait 10-15 minutes and go back to twicsy.com
  • You should see an egghead as your 'Twicsy' profile pic (this is because I didn't sign out)
  • You'll also see 'User Deleted' and 'No pics found!'.
  • Now, sign out.  For good.  No more Twicsy.

Be sure to tell your friends and family about this Twicsy and their sneaky sneaky selves!

**01/02/2016 - Addition (sorry so delayed!) from a reader and his friend back in March 2015 (Which means the information I'm posting here now, below may be not as current, but still helpful.  Hopefully.)**  He sent an email asking for assistance after reading this blog post.  After a few emails back and forth and a collaborative effort reaching out to Twicsy directly, here is additional information regarding removing yourself from Twicsy AND videos from Vine as well.

I emailed twicsy@searchles.com and asked:

"What other means is available to request the removal of pictures via a Twitter account that has been deleted?

Thank you for your guidance!"

The auto-responder was comprehensive, but nothing regarding removing videos (but I'll include info on Twitter via Vine (I think) videos further down):

In response to 'Removal Of Images From Twitter, but Account Deleted'
Do not reply to this message; send comments directly to
                'twicsy@searchles.com'

NOTICE: this email address is not monitored, please read below to see how to contact Twicsy.

To remove your Twitter data and pics from Twicsy go here: http://twicsy.com/remove

If you have a DMCA request please email us at copyright@twicsy.com and please put "dmca" or "copyright" in the subject or it will be marked as spam.

For removals for other reasons please send us links to the Twicsy pages where those images appear. Please email us at removal@twicsy.com and put "remove" in the subject.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS. ONE email to ONE of these addresses is enough.

If you have an advertising request please email us at ads@twicsy.com, but please make sure you put "advertising" in the subject.

If there is anything else please email us at anything@twicsy.com and put "twicsy" somewhere in the subject or it will be marked as spam.

If you have problems using the removal tool just email us at the appropriate email above, but be sure to include links!

Hopefully this will help service everybody's requests more quickly!

I relayed this information to the individual who asked for my assistance.  This did indeed help.

Now, regarding Twitter videos via Vine (..again, I think...not entirely sure on the dynamics of videos on Twitter/Vine).  His friend (the one who needed to delete her stuff from Twicsy) emailed regarding removal of videos on Vine and this link was provided:

https://support.twitter.com/forms/vine

I never go on Vine, so I can't give any insight on the above link to Vine or anything Vine related.
