Funsies ~ Thanks and Appreciation

In the beginning, when I started Twitter, on a weekly basis I used to tweet my ‘thanks and praises’ to my new followers or giving shout outs.  Those days have long gone as I’ve been unable to keep up with new followers especially since I started blogging in November.

Recent events – around the time TCA was spawned, the extrication from the relationship I had been in for twelve years occurred (Don’t know what I’m talking about?  Read my blog! LoL).  Since then, aside from close friends and family, the personally prescribed rehab of Twitter, blogging, Google+, Facebook (other platforms in spurts like klout and Empire Avenue) have helped keep me steady in the rocky waters of my precarious circumstance.  The interactions with the people met through these social media outlets have been 99% positive (Read about that negative 1% here.) and helpful in propelling my determination and motivation to keep moving forward and not looking back; ultimately giving me the strength to ‘carry-on’.

I dedicate this post to ALL the Twitter Followers (and blog readers) of @311_Mama, who embraced her in all her fuckedupness and kept her laughing through the sludge.  This is my way of shouting out to specific Tweeps for their influence or effect they had on my journey through real life transition via Twitter.  The banter, the innuendos, the laughs and smiles these tweeple exchanged with me mattered.  It truly, whole heartedly mattered, to me.  Thank you all.  I heart you, my heros, muses, inspiration and most importantly virtual friends.

@crazyazz808 – My sister, ‘Crazy Hawaiian’ or ‘Crazy’ as we refer to her as.  Yes, she really is my sister.  Reluctantly, she dove into Twitter because I didn’t want to be alone in unknown territory.  We now are both active and partake in Twitter escapades, bickering (sorry! LoL) and tweeting like we’re around old friends.

@K_Ignacious – A very early ‘Twitter Friend’, I followed him when my account was an infant.  He knew me as ‘Lenore Xavier’, then ‘Crazy Hawaiian’s Sis’ before the now known ‘TCA’.  He’s spesh.  Give him love.  He’s a smart, awesome and funny dude.  Much Aloha Igz!

The following are Tweeps I interacted with early on (still do on occasion), during my ‘warm up’ phase.  Warming up to Twitter that is!  They’re cool and some even fellow @311 lovers like me!!  #311Love #311Nation #311Unity !  AND I still interact with them after all these months!

@krystie0213 – She along with @caseyshay311 and a few other female followers have stuck around for quite sometime. Both are fellow 311 lovers.  One of the main reasons we have a 'bond'.  LoL  It's all about the Unity, the 311 Unity. ;) XO

These tweeps have stuck around for a while too.  For good reason, they're sweet and funny. They make me smile when I feel blue:

These Tweeps were met in my first ‘party phase’ (called that for obvious reasons if you were around then LoL) I interacted with on a different level *Wink, wink* this made for some quite hilarious tweeting threads.

@AmazonKittyBear – She was my first woman crush.  Tee hee…she’s gone missing.  I’ve told her things I wanted to do to her…on my TL…inebriated…and freely tweeting as if it was just me and her.  LOL  Good times…

@BryanThaDizzler – HE IS AWESOME.  He told me about ‘favstar’.  He is notorious for helping baby accounts out – which is what he did for me.  Thank you sweetheart!  Oh, and he loves Gummi Worms.  The other tweep during this time was @Nutella_Vodka –  met him through ThaDizzler.  He’s sweet and persistent. ;)  Heart ya!

@BeagleEars406 - Shout out to him, as he was the very first tweep to give me a favstar trophy!! TY!

@mclovins | @Trickle01 – These two schmexies are together. I always seemed to have interacted whilst drunk, ask “where’s wifey?” and goodness me, the things I would tweet at them about!  ;)  They are adorable.  Love ‘em both!

@idigcrazychics –  He was around early on too.  He would chime in when Crazy and I would go off on our bickering rants at one another.  Sweet as pie, he is.  And seems to be up all hours of the night! LoL  And can’t find his whiskey drinking cup. (Did you ever find it??  LoL)

@clownholeMr. Donkey Ball Shuffle.  This is where the ‘Donkey Balls’ in my blog title derives from.  This sweet shuffler of the esteemed balls of the donkey is spesh.  He would keep up with Crazy and my antics and join in many times.  :)  #donkeyballs

@think_hank – He’s gone missing.  He was a fave.  He once posted a tweet: ‘nuts in yo mouf’ that I responded to with a Youtube video of the song “Pants on the Ground” and lyrics to go with the video.
“Nuts in yo mouf, nuts in you mouf, looking like a fool with dem nuts in you mouf.”
The rest was history.  Anything he posted about nuts, I was on it like white on rice! LoL  Miss him…

@ninja_raaawr – He’s a Twitter Ninja for sure.  He’s the best RT’er around.  He’s also spesh to me.  Always around when I wanna chat or need a pick me up.  You’re fabby Ninj!!  Heart you!

@miniontrainer - I love his minion avi...he's a fantastic fav/RTer.  Any time I see a minion, I think of him! LoL  Well, I picture a buff minion. :)

@DanAaronKy - Sweet Dan O. Always up on my frisky tweets or me and Crazy shenanigans. LoL

@StevietheK - Agent Perry pajama pants.  Schmexy. LoL ;)

@TheWanderinPoet now he’s @WanderinPoet.  An intelligent, sweet tweep.  A great friend that I was a bit sweet on.  LoL If you’ve been around my TL, you’d know from all the #Toastersodes and other fun webisodes he’d do. (I talk about him on the 'Music Makes Me Happy' page)  Time passed and seasons change.  Real life gets deep and virtual life needs to cool down.  He has a little space in muh virtual heart.  Ya Koober! The other tweep during this time was @StevieBoylan – an Irishman, and a great singer!  With a nice ginger beard.  LoL

I wish I could go on and on about so many Tweeps I've interacted with.  If I missed you, it wasn’t on purpose; I may very well update this post accordingly! (OR DM me and I’ll S/O on TL!  LoL Sowie!)  Below are several other Tweeps I’ve become friends with recently (like past couple of months-ish, hell, past several days!) shout out to them all!  Much Aloha Tweeps!!  My Toasted Cummies...all my followers are TCs...LoL

As a closing, not only did I want to thank Tweeps, but I wanted to convey something about Twitter.  I see tweets saying Twitter was created for this, that or whatever.  In truth, although the creator of Twitter had a vision for what it was to be, the Tweeps of Twitter are the ones who make it what they wish it to be.  For me, I needed an outlet.  I needed to be somewhere I felt free.  A place to feel a part of and my company enjoyed.  Make friends, get frisky or silly, drunken or vent.

For whatever reason you are on Twitter, remember that we’re there together.  Focus on laughing, smiling, joking, silliness and peace.  You have a choice to be there.  Make it matter in a positive way (Hey, in my opinion, vulgarity and perversion IS positive stuff on Twitter! LoL).  Or you really don’t need to be there.  Go to Facebook.  *GRINS*

Reflect ~ Martin Luther King Jr. Day

He was an American.
He is a part of America's history.
Remember.
Reflect.

If you've never listened to his full speech, you should.
This man, his dream, is all a part of our country's history.

"When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, 'Free at last, free at last.  Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.'"

Funsies ~ Product Review

I thought it would be fun to write a product review of my new Kikkerland Pressure Point Massage Pen.

One night scrolling through my Home TL, I stumble upon a tweet showing a picture of a pen saying something about how it was a hit with the ladies (I tried searching for the actual tweet but couldn’t find).   I, of course, excitable to anything that vibrates, replied asking where one might purchase such a fine product.  I was @ back with the Amazon link.  So ordered, it was.

I was indeed excited when it arrived and opened immediately.  Yes, I did take the time to read the ‘Before using for the first time’ info, cause, nerd.  And for further nerdiliciousness, here are product specs, as listed on amazon.com:

Item Weight:  1.4 ounces
Product Dimensions: 6 x 0.8 x 0.8 inches
Item Model number: 4300-A
Batteries: 1 AAA batteries required. (included)

Once the battery tab was removed, it was ready for use!  It seemed very simple to use.  The following are actual instructions:

To write: Twist tip until pen emerges”  – I don’t know about you, but that sentence alone caused a twitch…LoL  ‘twist tip…until emerges’.  I digress.

To massage: Press massage tip firmly against desired area.  Keep pressing to continue vibrating sensation.” – Mmmkay.

As a writing tool, this reminded me of the Pilot Brand, ‘Dr. Grip’.  It wrote just as smooth and the thickness was similar, less soft grip and with a slight bigger girth. I was pleasantly surprised that it wrote as well as it did!

As a ‘Pressure Point Massager’, I tried it on my temple as shown in example of woman using on hers.  I also tried it on the pressure points as shown in hand and foot example.  All areas seemed to be fine being vibed.  Nothing extraordinary.  I did decide to try on two areas that I have experienced mild ache during a work day – my neck and shoulders. Although not noted on their literature, these two areas for me, felt fantastic.  I sit at a computer all day, typing, talking on phone, and constantly using mouse and keyboard.  The pen provided a distraction as well as a quick mini massage.  I didn’t actually use it at my desk lest I peak curiosity from co-workers as to what the buzzing sound was.

Ultimately, the product is as it claims to be – a pen and a massager. However, the underlying question still remains.  Is it a vibrator in disguise??

Vibrators vary in shape, size, speeds and functionality.  For the purpose of comparison, I’ll use a simple bullet vibe  to contrast the massager pen’s power, if you will.  I was going to use on my pussy, but my cat just wouldn’t stay still.  The buzzing noise made her want to fight it.  (Got ya there didn’t I!  Ha ha!)

Here’s an audio clip of each, you can hear the difference, hence allowing you to make your own assumption about power of the pen.  Makes this saying silly, when I twist the words around: ‘The pen is not mightier than the vibe’.

Music ~ Rough Emotional Day

Yesterday I was a little outta sorts.  If you noticed any of my tweets or random name changes, at one point it seemed I may have fallen off my rocker.  I didn't, but life will do that to you sometimes.  I love that I have Twitter to unleash my somewhat 'non compos mentis' thoughts.  Some of you get me. Thank you for that.  Just know, I'm fine and ya'll are the beacon of light through this long stretch of fuckedupness I'll be dealing with hopefully only the first half of the year (If this is the first time you're reading my blog, refer to the '(In All Seriousness' page.) *sigh*

Anyway, I turn to music when I have no words to express the state of affairs of TCA in the brain.  So here ya are...ya'll are my heros...in case you didn't know...xo...have a good work week.

Funsies ~ Sibling Stories

I miss my siblings.  I have five.  Well, three technically that I grew up with. The other two are ex-step siblings, whom I still consider siblings, if that makes any sense.  We won't go there, the whole 'ex-step' in itself is mind-boggling (If you knew the story, but you won't, cause I digress.  LoL In my defense, it's 2:35 am EST.  And my blog is for funsies.  So there.)

I am the oldest of four, with a considerable gap (nine years to be exact) between me and the second oldest, Crazy. Growing up, I was almost like the mom to my sibs as both my parents worked nights.  Crazy and I are the closest because of this fact.  This blog post is categorized as 'funsies' because I wanted to share a few childhood stories that make me laugh to this day.  She may not want me to tell them, but too bad so sad.  Maybe she should read my blog more often - cause she won't know I'm telling you unless you tell her.  LoL  So, shhhhh.

Story One ~ 'Why I Don't Game'

On my thirteenth birthday, I had a sleepover.  My dad pitched a tent in the back yard, set up the Nintendo (yes, the original) outside on patio.  I was so into Nintendo's Legend of Zelda, I received the Nintendo Magazine to learn tips and tricks, blah, blah, blah.  I played hours on this game.  Long story short, Crazy, age four, 'accidentally' erased the memory for Legend of Zelda.  I was DEVASTATED.  The world ended.  I cried. And cried.  And loathed her that day.  My birthday.  I never gamed like that again.  I never got into a game, putting in hours and hours to find and defeat and enjoy the challenge ever again.  (Until Plants vs. Zombies, but that's neither here nor there.)  The ironic thing?  Crazy is a gamer.  She's got mad skills in many games, but her poison is Halo and COD.  MAD.  Like amazefuckingballs mad.  It has been some time since she played with life changes in the past few years (her ex's took her XBox TWICE! If that's any indication of her gaming skills! Those haters. LoL), but when I say mad skills, dudes would be 'reluctant to play her' mad.  They would always want to be on her team (if team mode).

Story Two ~ 'Smell This'

As gross as it might seem, wait, nevermind, it is outright gross, but whatever, we were kids. I love my sister, yes, but she was annoying when she was younger.  Those of you with siblings (or even multiple children) understand this. I believe she was around six or seven when I started doing this to her.  I used to fart in my hand (shut up, yes, TCA fucking farts, so what - you don't?), call her to me and tell her to smell this.  In my closed fist, she would stick her nose and take a HUGE whiff. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.  You would think she would learn, but she didn't. Even funnier, I have done it a few times in adulthood.  LMAO

Story Three ~ 'Wait For Me!'

At some point in early adulthood, you end up living back at home with your parents for a short time to either help them or yourself get back on your feet. I've had to do that a couple of times myself.  I think I was twenty-one or twenty-two, just out of the Air Force.  Crazy was in middle school. My parents had just moved to Georgia from Hawaii; they were living in an apartment complex.  As with most apartment complexes, you usually take your trash to the trash compactor dumpster. Our complex had a pull up and throw into type set-up.  There was somewhat of a ramp that took car high enough for one to be able to throw their bag of trash down into the dumpster. Crazy and I would go together in my truck (I drove a white Toyota Tacoma Prerunner); I would drive, she would jump out and fling the bag into dumpster. On this occasion, I started to drive away slowly as she threw trash bag, she didn't notice.  When she did notice, she started running yelling 'Wait for me!'.  Of course I slowed as she got closer, then I started off again slowly.  She started running full speed and just about caught up (I'm not going fast at all, mind you.) when I slammed on the brakes.  Needless to say, she ran right into the back of the truck. No, she didn't get hurt.  Yes, I am an asshole sister.  So what, we still love each other.

That's it for silly stories of me and Crazy.

I wanted to share a video also, a show actually, that Crazy and I would watch together.  We absolutely loved it and watched it often.  I found it on YouTube a couple of nights ago, which prompted the idea of this post about her.  The below video is an actual, full length show of comedian/entertainer, Steven Banks.  This probably falls into the nergeekiness category for both Crazy and me.  Enjoy!

Steven Banks Show (Showtime 1989)

And last but not least, a song to close this post out.  Crazy used to watch Barney (yes, which ultimately means I had to watch it too) and she would always sing this song and want to hug me.  I hated it at the time because I thought she was such a pest, but through it all, I loved her as an annoying pest.  I love her still.  She's my sister.  I love my sister.

I Love My Sister (Barney, 1992/1993)

Celebrate your siblings, the bond you share (Well, I hope you have what Crazy and I have.) with a sister and/or brother is priceless.  If you don't it's okay, maybe it's a step-sibling, cousin or long time friend you consider sibling like.  Cherish the people who matter in your life.  Tell them how much you truly love them and exactly what they mean to you.  They will appreciate it and even reciprocate the sentiment!
